And suddenly all those feelings get mixed up in a terrible way, and you are sixteen and just want to get back at them and so to make them pay for real and perceived slights.

Because you can understand James’ anger, not even the Weasley, the ones called the Blood Traitors for marrying muggles were ousted of the “Sacred 28”, and the underlying insult that it was: that The Potter family was lesser than the other magical family.
